belated v-day

an interesting thing happened yesterday. i spent around $1k to quit at&t, probably more. and it was worth every penny. fuck them. we went with verizon’s new unlimited plan and upgraded all our iphone 6’s to 7’s. i got the 7plus bc reasons…

i mean, seriously though, i’d been with at&t for probably 15 years. this last year of bullshit dealing with service was too much to handle. and it was over $10/mo. yeah, you read that right, $10/mo. it wasn’t the $10, obv. it was the fucking principal of overcharging me for something they wrangled me into for unlimited service. i didn’t want directv but it was required with their new service plan. their promotion was $40 a month, but since it took them 6 months to install the service and get the billing correct, that promotion expired. so, according to directv, i was contractually obligated to pay $50/mo.

so, after 6 months of battling to get the monthly reduced by $10, i put the kabash on the at&t since directv wasn’t going to budge on the contract. i also have to spend ~$400 to cancel said contract that i didn’t want to engage into in the first place. but it’s better to pay $400 than $800. i’m so bitter, but fuck it

it’s why they say divorce is so expensive… it’s worth it.
